CDS Inc. business history

                    Carl’s Dragline Service was started in 2003. At this time Carl had accumulated thirty years experience in the aggregate industry in crushing, screening, heavy equipment operations with particular emphasis on draglines. It was the ambition of Carl Schaab to own and operate draglines. He could see the need and the future growth in the industry for these machines. Carl purchased a small company that had been in existence for many years, Wiltzie Dragline. CDS started with one 595 American Dragline and serviced and cleaned effluent ponds for the Sand and Gravel, agricultural and industrial market. CDS added a 597 American Dragline to better service and capture available work loads. In 2006 CDS made a sizeable business plan step by adding a 190 D Northwest Dragline for sand and gravel extraction. In 2008 CDS added an 88 Bucyrus Erie for additional aggregate extraction. Since the beginning CDS has developed into an efficient and highly reputable Dragline company that has a business plan poised to achieve quality growth and service a diverse customer base. Recently we have developed and tested a new type of bucket for the dragline that allows the removal of vegetation from ponds and other water ways with little to no permanent impact on the surrounding environment.
